Chief Executive Officer
Patrick White has worked in the security printing and identification industry for 15 years. He founded the publicly traded Document Security Systems, Inc. (NYSE MKT: DSS) in 2002 and served as Chief Executive Officer and a Director on their Board from 2002 to 2012.
Under Mr. White's direction, Document Security Systems was named Technology Fast 500 which is a list published by Deloitte LLP for the fastest growing technology companies in the USA for five (2008-2012) consecutive years. As an inventor Mr. White has also been awarded 3 US patents for digital security technologies.
During Mr. White’s tenure, DSS grew from 5 employees to more than 100 employees, with two secure data centers as well as manufacturing plants in San Francisco, CA; Rochester, NY; and Victor, NY. Under White’s direction, his previous company’s revenue grew year over year for 12 consecutive years.
Mr. White, a forward-thinking, results-driven security technology industry executive, brings more than 20 years of private and public company operating, financial, accounting and management experience to VerifyMe. He has extensive experience building successful organizations by combining his expertise in strategic planning, business development, staffing, cost control, accounting, and financial system deployments.
Mr. White has appeared with Liz Claman on her show, “Closing Bell” shown on the Fox Business News channel. White currently either serves or has served on the board of several technology companies. Previously, Mr. White has held executive and financial accounting positions at the predecessor banks which are now Citizens Bank, and has purchased, owned and operated several manufacturing companies.
Mr. White was also a member of the U.S. Secret Services, Document Security Alliance which is tasked with recommending security technologies to protect the vital records of the U.S. and state governments.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Goldstein has more than 25 years of experience in strategic, operational and financial management across a variety of industries. Most recently, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of ABnote North America, a four-entity division of the American Banknote Corporation operating in the U.S. and Canada where he successfully grew the business through new product introductions and acquisitions.
Mr. Goldstein holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mr. Jay Cardwell, CPA

Mr. Cardwell has more than 35 years of comprehensive experience in, SEC reporting & compliance, financial reporting, tax research & compliance, strategic planning, treasury and cash management as well as strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, international accounting, due diligence investigations, expert analysis for dispute resolution, operations management ranging from early stage project development to large multi-tiered international organizations.
Mr. Cardwell has been the COO of The CFO Squad LLC since July 2015 providing a variety of CFO support and signatory services from pre-audit services, M&A Advisory, SEC compliance, tax compliance, financial reporting and other services for clients. Prior to The CFO Squad, Mr. Cardwell held CEO, CFO & COO and director roles for companies within the entertainment industry. Mr. Cardwell began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co (St. Louis) with clients including General Dynamics, Anheuser-Bush, and May Department Stores. In addition, Mr. Cardwell continues to serve as a trustee for charitable organizations as well as a treasurer. Mr. Cardwell has been CPA licensed in the State of New York since 1986 and a graduate of Illinois State University in Accounting, Alumni Honoree.

Paul F. Klapper
Mr. Paul F. Klapper is employed at Clydesdale Ventures, LLC and Clydesdale Partners I, LLC. Mr. Klapper serves as Manager for three private equity funds and has assisted in the start-up of many new businesses including one major retail coffee chain. He was responsible for the start-up funding and initial expansion capital of Pasqua Coffees of San Francisco. Mr. Klapper served as shareholder of Yorkshire Global Restaurants, which owned the brand names of A&W Restaurants, Inc. and Long John Silver's Restaurants, Inc. Mr. Klapper has been involved with a significant number of properties in San Francisco, Boston, Houston and other cities. Mr. Klapper and his affiliated companies, PFK Acquisition Company I, LLC and PFK Acquisition Group II, LLC have been involved as principals and advisors for the purchase of approximately $500 million in institutionally owned properties and companies. In 1997, he led an investment group in Applied Underwriters Inc. and served as an Advisor until it was sold to Berkshire Hathaway in 2007. He serves as a Director of America's Suppliers Inc. He has been Member of the Advisory Board of Java Detour, Inc. since 2002. He has been a Director of VerifyMe Inc since July 14, 2017. He served as a Director of LaserLock Technologies Inc. from December 9, 2013 to February 26, 2015. Mr. Klapper served as a Director of Yorkshire Global Restaurants.
Laurence Blickman (“Larry”) is currently the Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield. Larry began his real estate career with Ashwill-Burke in 1978 where he was quickly recognized as a top producer. Within two years he recognized the need within the business community for a specialized regional brokerage company. Larry co-founded BT Commercial in 1981 on these principles. In 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2001 the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (ASVB) awarded Larry as the Investment Broker of the Year. In 1992 Larry was inducted into the ASVB's Hall of Fame, its highest award of achievement. In the past 10 years alone he has personally completed sales transactions totaling over $4.1 billion including more than 16 million square feet of buildings, over 1,500 acres of raw land, millions of square feet of leasing and nearly $200 million in financing.
Marshall Geller is a Senior Advisor to St. Cloud, a Los Angeles-based private investment firm focused on providing growth capital to the lower-middle market. Mr. Geller is a member of the Investment Committee of St. Cloud. He has extensive experience initiating, arranging, and making investments in public and private companies. Mr. Geller spent over twenty years as Senior Managing Director for Bear, Stearns & Company, with oversight of all operations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Hong Kong, and the Far East. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE:GPX); COR Securities Holdings, Inc.; and the UCLA Health System. Mr. Geller previously served on the Board of Directors of California Pizza Kitchen (NASDAQ:CPKI) and led the Special Committee to sell the company. He was previously the Interim Co-Chairman of Hexcel Corporation (NYSE:HXL) and Interim President and COO of Players International, Inc. Mr. Geller also serves as a member of the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Mr. Geller graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, with a BS in Business Administration, where he currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Business & Economics. Mr. Geller also served as a Commissioner of the Little Hoover Commission, an independent California state oversight agency.
Claudio R. Ballard
Claudio R. Ballard is the Chairman, Founder and one of the two Managing Members of VEEDIMS. In 2010 Mr. Ballard was named “Inventor of the Year” by the United States Business and Industry Council, in recognition of his founding of Iconic Motors and VEEDIMS as well as the creation of the DataTreasury Global Repository Platform, a patent-protected electronic transaction system licensed by banks to process digital checks.
Mr. Ballard has over 37 years of experience in computer technology, software and business development. In 1979, he founded FORTEX Corporation, that in 1981 became the world’s first ORACLE Value-Added Reseller and Systems Integrator by delivering the earliest known commercially viable production mission critical application software and supporting development tools that initially ran on ORACLE and eventually ran on other database platforms. By the late 1980s Mr. Ballard’s team had built sophisticated, mission critical systems for more than 30 Fortune 500 companies, including Kidder Peabody, General Electric (14 Divisions), Standard & Poor’s, CitiBank, Philip Morris, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and AT&T Bell Labs, Pfizer, Novartis (formally Ciba-Geigy) as well as government agencies that included the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, the Food and Drug Administration (7 departments at the FDA) and the Central Intelligence Agency.
In 1994, Mr. Ballard invented the DataTreasury System, the sophisticated repository and on-line biometrics system that enables banks to quickly verify identity and process a myriad number of financial transactions. In 1998, Mr. Ballard founded DataTreasury Corporation and launched the core technology that led to the development of the check-imaging platform. Today, over 50 banks throughout the U.S. representing approximately 70% of U.S. check processing volume use this technology through a licensing arrangement.
Larry G. Schafran
Mr. Schafran is a private investor and serves as a director of Wright Investors’ Service Holdings, Inc. (OTCMKTS: WISH), Cupcake Digital, Inc. and Glasstech, Inc. He has served as aManaging Director of Providence Capital, Inc., an investment and advisory firm, and as a director and/or officer of COMSAT, Inc., Capsure Holdings, Inc., Banyan Strategic Realty Trust, Dart Group Corporation, Trak Auto Corporation, WorldSpace, Inc., Shoppers Food Warehouse, Inc. and The Palmieri Company, Inc. He received both a BBA and a MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin.
